Acto Dementia Guide: Now Available

February 14, 2022/ Juanita Atton

To accompany the launch of our new introductory video, we have now launched a visual guide for AcTo Dementia users!

This guide is available to view online or print (at home) and will allow users to learn how to navigate the website at their own pace. It has been carefully designed as the companion to the How-To video (currently visible on our home page) and serves as a step-by-step guide on app selection, download and set-up using the recommended accessibility settings.

The AcTo Dementia Guide is now available in our Guides tab along the top of the menu bar.

Although currently only available in English, we hope to translate it to other languages soon! Stay tuned for more versions.

AcTo Dementia

AcTo Dementia is a resource for people who are looking for support in identifying touchscreen activities for people living with dementia. The website contains reviews of apps that have been selected as potentially suitable for people with dementia, information on how to use touchscreen tablets in this context and a guide for users to access so that they can identify suitable apps themselves. It also contains news and publications from our specialist research group comprising researchers from the University of Sheffield in the UK and the University of Toronto in Canada.
