New Apps Coming Soon

August 13, 2019/ Juanita Atton

Visitors to the site over the last few months may have noticed a lack of new content. During this time we have been working on updating the website to take into account the feedback we have received. After in-depth reviews, we are very excited to announce that many new and exciting games will be added to our website in the coming weeks. Additionally, many crowd favourites such as Bubble Explode and Solitaire are now available on Android. We will also be introducing great new games to Android users including various tile matching games, as well as an array of multilingual games for both Android and Apple users.

If there is a particular kind of game or activity that you would like us to look into, please get in touch, either in the comments section of this post (below), by sending us a message or through Twitter. We'd love to hear your ideas and if we can find an app that meets our high standards for people living with dementia, we'll post it on the site.

AcTo Dementia

AcTo Dementia is a resource for people who are looking for support in identifying touchscreen activities for people living with dementia. The website contains reviews of apps that have been selected as potentially suitable for people with dementia, information on how to use touchscreen tablets in this context and a guide for users to access so that they can identify suitable apps themselves. It also contains news and publications from our specialist research group comprising researchers from the University of Sheffield in the UK and the University of Toronto in Canada.
